Arizona isn’t just a place. It’s also a rock band.
Those who know me personally, and perhaps those that don’t, know that my brother Ben Wigler is one of the founding members of the indie rock group Arizona. While they haven’t hit mega stardom yet, they’ve definitely put a dent in the New York indie scene and have made their mark amongst several other music lovers. They’re currently touring the west coast these days opening for Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, and just recently crossed over into the state of Arizona for the very first time. That’s right, none of them have ever actually been to Arizona before naming their band — and while this article gives you an explanation for their name, I can tell you that the secret origin is much, much jucier than what’s divulged to the public. But alas, I will never tell.
