The many lives of John Locke in sharper focus.

What a long, strange trip it’s been for John Locke. He was abandoned at birth, raised in a series of foster homes, literally broken by his father, then risen anew on the mysterious island that Lost fans have come to know and love. At some point in his future, the alleged “chosen one” wound up dead in a coffin in a lonely Los Angeles funeral parlor. But with notions of resurrection hinted throughout the show’s fifth season — and because no one is ever really dead on Lost – many fans began to wonder if we’d actually seen the last of John.
After last night’s episode, “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham,” we have the answer and there is finally no doubt about it — John Locke is very special indeed.

I know there’s no good excuse, but for what it’s worth, every time I think about how I’ve shirked my duties here at roundhoward, I think about all of the sad puppies created by my absence. From now on, that little guy right there (I’m calling him Gulliver) will be my constant reminder to do right by all you readers, human and canine alike. Consider me returned.
That isn’t to say I haven’t been super busy lately. Over the last few weeks, some cool stuff has gone down that’s required me to go incognito. In case you’re not already in the know, allow me to walk you through roundhoward’s month of February.

One crisis averted, another one looms…

roundhoward returns you to your regularly scheduled programing with a brand new edition of 24 Things I Hate/Love About 24! The latest episode had plenty of death, car crashes, super secret ghost meetings and throwbacks to Bauer’s old days to keep all fans satisfied. But, as per usual on 24, there was plenty of weak sauce to choke on. We’ve done the dirty work and sorted out the good and the ugly, so get your reading hats on and let’s get to it.

Uh, no Tony? WTF?

24 aired the eighth episode of season seven last night, and you almost — almost — wouldn’t notice that Tony Almeida was entirely absent. Even though they shelved Soul Patch for an hour, the episode gets a major thumbs up for sheer Bauer power. Excellent episode for JB.
As usual, keep reading to find out the good, bad and the ugly!
